Jane - Doctor Appointment Coordinator

Hi! I'm Jane. My main job is to keep the Doctor busy with scheduling, and handling anything at the front desk. I worked with Dr. Highsmith in 1985, then spent 15 years in Real Estate Management, then came back in 2001. I have been a Weight Watchers leader since 1997, and love traveling and hot air ballooning with my pilot husband, Jim. My smile is gorgeous (check it out!) thanks to Dr. Highsmith!

Martha - Dental Hygienist

Hello, my name is Martha. I've been a hygienist since 1974, and most of my career has been spent right here in this office! I am happily married to a perfect man named Hugh. We love showering attention on our numerous nieces and nephews. We spend a lot of time at our lake house and out on our boat. We love to travel. Our most favorite pastime of all is searching for antique treasures.

Laura - Dental Hygienist

Hi! I'm Laura and I've been with Dr. Highsmith since 1993. A Tennessee native, I began my career there in 1986. I enjoy the close-knit atmosphere of our dental team, who all strive for a common goal: To always provide our patients with optimal dental health. I've been married to Robbie since 1997, and we have a beautiful daughter, Emily.

Cynthia - Comptroller

I love to watch our patients as treatment progresses - the difference between "Before" and "After" is always awesome! I'm glad to help you with billing, insurance and financing questions. I love a challenge - ask me! My husband DJ and I enjoy exploring WNC, gardening, outdoor cooking and playing with our grandchildren Ivy and James. In my spare time, I quilt, collect cookbooks, and read voraciously.

Welcome! I've been a hygienist with Dr. John as long as he's been a dentist. My passion at work is providing care and knowledge to our patients, helping them to achieve a beautiful and healthy smile. I have been married to a wonderful man, BJ, since 1971. We have a son and daughter who are each married and giving us lovely grandchildren that we very much enjoy.

Hi I'm Sylvia, I add a European accent to our office. I was born in Poland and moved to the United States in 2004 after graduating dental school. Dr Highsmith invited me to work with him in 2005. It is always a great learning experience to work with such a teacher and specialist. Dentistry is my passion, so I know I'm in the right place.
